Origin and world of the character
Tony Tony Chopper is the official ship's doctor of the Straw Hat Crew in the hit manga and animated series One Piece, created by mangaka Eiichiro Oda in 1997. Chopper is originally a young blue-nosed reindeer rejected by his fellow reindeer on the winter island of Drum. His life changes radically when he eats the Human Fruit (Hito Hito no Mi), a Zoan-type Demon Fruit that gives him human intelligence and the ability to metamorphose. Taken in and trained in medicine by Doctors Hiluluk and Kureha, he developed the ambition to create a remedy capable of curing all the world's diseases. Thanks to the famous pills of his creation, the Rumble Balls, Chopper can unlock several forms of spectacular physical transformation to adapt his strength in battle, going from an adorable little mascot to a fearsome colossus during the crew's confrontations.
